Don't like what you see? Too bad. :) There's that X button to the top LEFT or RIGHT of your screen though, it could come in useful for a time like this. ;)

Question with 1 note

Anonymous asked: Hey Rachel, I have a quick question, I'm thinking to buy concealer for the first time since my eye circle are totally noticeable when I don't get enough sleep. What is a good brand to buy it from or how do I pick the right one?

Lol, this isn’t really a quick question ;) hehe.. =P

Anyway, there are too many brands to choose from — it would depend on the severity of your dark circles. But if you want a basic concealer, there are a ton. Roughly, there will be 2 different formulas you can choose from: liquid or cream. Both are fine, but when choosing a formula, consider your skin type and what your undereye skin area is like. Ask yourself some of these questions: Is your undereye skin dry? Do you have oily eyelids? Do you have fine lines that the concealer will settle into? Does make-up last on you or would you need a primer or a long-lasting formula?

Here are some recommendations:

For Drugstore — Maybelline and Revlon both make really great concealers that are great for undereye circles. Maybelline Fit Me, Maybelline Age Rewind, and Revlon PhotoReady are all good choices. Some people also like Hard Candy’s Glamoflage and Sonia Kashuk’s concealer palette as well.

For High End/Dept Store brands: MAC, Estee Lauder, Bobbi Brown, YSL, BareMinerals, Benefit, Tarte and Lancome all have great concealers for undereye circles. :)

For shade choice, you want to go 1-2 shades lighter than your face foundation shade. Go for something Yellow-Toned or Peach-toned (or Orange/Peach if you’re a woman of color) - they cover darkness the best and help neutralize/correct it. However, If your undereye circles are more green than they are blue/purple (which is the most common), you may need to choose a Pink-Toned concealer, it will help counteract the sallowness and brighten.

Hope that helps!
