Anonymous asked: If I have mild to moderate acne if I use a cleanser like Cetaphil would it help with my acne? Since it has no acne medication in it, but it's dermatologist recommended. I'm thinking about using a Cleanser, Scrub (2-3 times a week), and Moisturizer with SPF 15. Is that good enough as a skin care routine? I wear no make up. Thank you :)
Cetaphil is a gentle cleanser with no real treatment — it’s best for people with sensitive skin or someone who just needs a basic cleanser that’s not harsh. You can definitely use it, but it won’t do anything for your acne, unfortunately.
I’d have to get a good look at what kind of acne you have in order to truly give you recommendations on a new regimen, but what i definitely suggest is a cleanser with Salicylic Acid, a scrub 2-3x a week and a light oil-free moisturizer with SPF. I’d also consider incorporating a treatment in there like a mask or spot treatment to help unclog your pores or help with breakouts. :)
