The MUA told me that i was a NC40 and now that I'm home, I can't help but think that the shade is too dark for me. For reference, I wear 127 in MUFE and Punjab in Nars Sheer Glow. Have you tried taking a picture of yourself with flash? Also try taking a picture in natural sunlight, preferably in front of a window. Both methods help to tell whether a shade is too light or too dark. Whatever it is, your foundation should blend down into your neck. :)
If you feel that the MUA who matched you is incorrect, try another store/counter who’s make-up looks proper and ask them to match you again. See what happens. ;) I’ve been matched to NC40, NC44 and NC45 until i realized my actual match is NC42.
