So I'm getting my makeup done by Mac, and i would like them to apply kimkardashian's makeup look on me! how would i best describe it to them on what i want?~! i have a picture too..

uhm, i don’t know what look of hers you want, but make sure you keep in mind that you’re not her and also may not have features like hers so it could either look good on you too or look like a hot mess! .. hopefully the MUA will know to do the same look on you but tailoring it to your eye shape and face features because if not? HOT MESS.

Definitely bring a picture, the same way you would bring a picture of a hairstyle to your hairstylist .. they SHOULD know what to do, but if you don’t tell them what you want, they may do something else you’re not happy with .. make sure you’re with an MUA who knows what she’s doing also because some of them think they know, but they really don’t, lmao .. it’s easy to spot the ones who know what they’re doing .. if he/she knows what they’re doing, you can trust them with your face ;)

what are some of your favorite pink blushes from mac?

Pink blushes aren’t my favorite from MAC, but i have some in the pink “family”, some leaning more towards Coral rather than Pink .. but these are the ones i own that i DO like …

Pink Swoon, Feeling (Discontinued), Bite of an Apple (Limited Edition), Briar Rose (Limited Edition Beauty Powder), Joie-de-Vivre (Limited Edition cremeblend blush) and Florida (Limited Edition cremeblend blush)

Enough is enough.

There is only so much you can do. There is only so much you can say. At some point, you have to make the decision to LET GO. A heart can only take so much … it needs a break once in awhile .. YOU need a break. Take a deep ass breath .. And LET THAT SHIT GO.

why did u get ur tongue pierced?? did it hurt though?! n' wat do u think about tongue web piercing; be honest..

am i supposed to answer the question(s) dishonestly? lol .. just sayin. i’m always honest :)

i’ve wanted my tongue pierced for awhile in high school but decided to wait til i was at least 18 to get it .. i wanted a piercing, but i wanted one that was easy to hide so that i could still be “professional” on some level when it came to work or career-related stuff. Everyone had a belly button piercing or extra ear piercings, or piercings that were visible… that’s just not my thing. Also, i noticed i have oral fixations. If you don’t know what that means, google it. ;) lol … so that’s why i chose a tongue piercing .. i got my tongue pierced when i was 19, so i’ve had it for about 8 years now .. i hardly even notice it’s there anymore, LOL .. people ask me about it and that’s when i remember i have it, haha. it didn’t hurt though, it was the healing process that was annoying because i couldn’t eat or drink anything for days! lol .. it feels like you bit your tongue super hard, that’s all. and based on how fast you heal from normal wounds will be how fast you heal from the piercing. mine healed in just a few days, other people’s took a week or more.

i don’t care for tongue web piercings, i feel like it’d be too crowded underneath my mouth, lol .. my mouth isn’t really all that big, there’s not much room in there, haha .. i hated having braces, so i can’t take more than one piercing in my mouth lol .. having a piercing on the frenulum would feel like 2 piercings for me .. i also don’t suggest it if you’re not diligent about your dental care — if you don’t brush your teeth often, use mouthwash often or even floss often, i wouldn’t do it. Dirt gets trapped down there easily so you’re at a higher risk for infection if you’re not diligent. Otherwise, i have nothing against it :) it just ain’t fa’ me!

I'm looking for a new powder foundation, I'm debating between MUFE duo mat, Mac studio fix or bare minerals mineral foundation. Do you have any preferences between the three, or maybe something you can suggest from another brand? Thank you <3

MUFE Duo Mat hands down over any of those .. i love my BareMinerals MATTE foundation, but i don’t reach for it as often as the Duo Mat. I don’t care for MAC’s Studio Fix powder either, i’d rather use their Mineralize SkinFinish, but that’s been known to break some people out because of the bismuth it contains.

A lot of people also love Benefit’s Hello Flawless powder — it has really good coverage and it’s a super finely milled powder similar to that of the MUFE Duo Mat. It’s not my personal favorite, but i like it on other people, just not myself. There’s also a new one from Smashbox, the Photo Set Pressed powder, that’s really nice that i recently tried.

For drugstore, i like Revlon’s ColorStay or PhotoReady powders as well as Maybelline DreamMatte powder .. i also hear good things about L’Oreal’s TrueMatch powder, although i haven’t tried that one myself. :T

Are you in grad school? If so, what are you studying?

nope, i will be soon tho hopefully! :) and i plan to get my Masters in Education in Philosophy :)

would u recommend the smashbox skin foundation for those with oily skin?

other co-workers of mine have tried it and we all have diff skin types and it seems to work for all of us :) it’s more of a satin/dewy finish though, so if you’re not into that, i’d try something else .. it looks really good in pictures tho! :)

Have you used the million lashes mascara? if you have would you reccomend it?

no i haven’t tried it :T sorry!

How do u get back into a routine? I've been back to school for about a month and I feel so lazy and sluggish. Any tips on how to get my groove back so to speak?

ya snap back into reality girl! ;) lol .. if you don’t start now, you’ll screw up your school year .. start out fresh and the rest of the year will go that way :)

I usually just train myself to get back into the school groove, but i actually never took too many breaks from school when i was still in school. i’m 26, so when i say “school” i mean COLLEGE. I was in school 24/7, i rarely took a summer break, i was had summer classes, but when i DID enjoy summer vacation (once in a blue moon, haha), i’d have to really force myself back into it cuz my summers were craycray! ;) … i set up my planner and calender to always remind me that i had shit to do .. i had a PDA style phone back then too that always alerted me “STUDY YOU BEEZY!” hahaha, or something like that .. to kinda motivate me n stuff .. i always took classes that forced me to study, so if i ever felt like i didn’t want to, i’d find a study buddy to help motivate me so we could study together and have some kinda routine .. i also had a lotta extra curriculars going on, so the friends i had in all my clubs/groups/orgs n stuff were always asking me to study with them or help them with papers, so that made me hit the books too .. also, when i was reminded that partying too many days a week fuks up my academic routine, i’d punish myself for a week or two by not going out or even eating out. i’d discipline myself by rewarding myself at the end of the week (by going to a huge party everyone was going to or going out to eat with some homies at one of our fav spots, etc) if i could do all my work by a certain day so i could relax from Thurs-Sun and not have to stress til Monday :)

when i was in high school though, it was a lot harder to stay focused cuz you’re involved with friends n shit .. and the beginning of the year had stuff i was involved in like homecoming, back to school dances, etc etc. so if you’re in high school, i encourage you to do the whole discipline thing .. set up your planner and calendar to remind you that you have shit to do and can’t fukk around .. and discipline yourself all week til at least Thursday and if you could meet your goal by then, then reward yourself on the weekend by hanging out with your friends or shopping or something ..

hope that helped! and good luck :)

What would be a great product to reduce the showing on pimple scarring on skin and little bumps of acne, not red but they're just bumps? I have oily acne-prone skin, and my dad says water is truly the best trick .. But still the oil is always secreted a little more than average. And nothing I try seems to work .. Nor have I found a good product that helps reduce the showing of acne scars ..

it sounds like you’re going to need an acne treatment type of skincare so that’s your first thing — don’t focus on the makeup for now. I’ve personally never had acne so i can’t tell you what works amazing, but i do have 2 friends who live by the products on acne.org. Both of them are on YouTube if you want their reviews — OhBeauty88 and MakeupByLeinaBaaaby — they both love that acne system and it’s really done amazing things to their skin.

If you tend to be oily, your skin is probably not getting the right amount of moisture, which is why it’s secreting more oil. It’s your skin’s way of moisturizing itself since you’re not moisturizing it. Just because you’re oily doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use moisturizer. So that’s another thing to think about.

As far as makeup goes .. i know Dermablend makes great concealers, but no makeup in the world will hide the bumps because they’re BUMPS. Concealer or foundation will only help hide scarring because it’s changing the color of it — but honestly makeup is going to make your skin condition worse. The more you try to cover it up, the worse it will look. First and foremost, you’ll need a good skincare regimen.

Did your family ever want you to become a nurse? I mean being Filipino and having my mom as well as my older sisters as nurses, I feel pressured to becoming one. It interests me, but my passion is cooking. I don't know what to do. My mom was all cooking won't pay you a lot. =\

Filipino parents can be like that .. uhm, my parents are a little more modern than that, but they did suggest for me to pick a career that would pay me well. At the same time, they also encouraged me to choose a career that i’d be happy with, just as long as it kept me from being in debt and i didn’t live too hard of a life — that i’d be well off and what not.

You’re going to have to talk to your parents about it. Get them to understand. You gotta make moves if cooking is really what you want to do in life. And if you’re really good at it — you could become an amazing chef one day, run your own restaurant or work for a prestigious one and be the Head Chef … that not only pays you well but you could be famous one day ;) hehehe …

My sister has flawless skin but the one thing I don't get is how?! She doesn't eat proper healthy food, hardly exercise and somehow it never breaks out.

i don’t understand what the question is ….. this sounds like more of a statement … lol …. if you’re literally asking me HOW your sister has good skin, i unfortunately couldn’t give you the right answer to that .. i honestly wouldn’t know .. but genetics play a huge part in it .. as does hormones. :)

what type of face mask do you use? and how does it help your skin? i'm thinking of trying face masks.

i use a few different ones .. my favorites are from LUSH and i also like the Queen Helene’s Mint Julep mask for a drugstore alternative … i also like Asian sheet masks as well as Philosophy or Sue Devitt’s facial peels ..

all the face masks/sheets/peels i use are all different and do different things, but i particularly like the ones that brighten, soften, exfoliate, detoxify or moisturize. :) .. no matter which mask i use, my skin stays healthier, cleaner, brighter and more youthful :) .. one of the #1 compliments i get is that i have good skin :)

do you have hair on your face? like on your cheeks? if you do, do you get it removed or remove it yourself? ive noticed that i have some light hairs, and it really bugs me, but i'm a little scared to get it waxed or anything because i dont want it to grow in thicker! thoughts?

if you shave it, it’ll get thicker, but if you wax it, it should grow back finer actually …. i personally don’t have hair on my face, i have fine hairs on my upper lip, but nothing drastic that i have to have it “removed” .. i suggest getting your hairs waxed or bleached .. bleaching is an alternative if you’re afraid of how it’ll grow back ..

Hey girl I received the sunglasses! Thank you so much :) <3 I was excited when I saw you wrote a little note hehe. I have a question! If you were given $100 to spend at Sephora in giftcards what would you use it on specifically? Everything I get I usually end up returning D;

$100 at Sephora is honestly not that much, haha .. it depends on what you really want … but in truth, it’s like, 3 things or something like that … haha! … uhmmm, it’s hard to say what i’d spend it on to be honest with you … because i like Limited Edition sets like the Urban Decay liner anniversary liner set that’s like, already $100 lol .. and i also like the MUFE Flash Palette that’s already $100 as well .. so if you’re looking to spend your money wisely, i’d get a few of the best things Sephora has … brushes, NARS blushes, Illamasqua, MUFE, eye shadow palettes from diff brands, etc etc .. that kinda stuff. Around Holiday they come out with a ton of gift sets too, you get the best bang for your buck there cuz you get to try a few things without spending hella money. :)
